This GIS layer includes watershed boundaires and information for completed or developing 9-element WPPs. WPPs are accepted as meeting 9-elements by the EPA, the TCEQ, and the TSSWCB. The 9-elements are described in EPA's "Handbook for Developing Watershed Protection Plans to Restore and Protect Our Waters". This layer includes only 9-element plans and is not a comprehensive list of all watershed-based planning efforts in Texas. The WPP boundaires were combined together into 1 layer from various local, state, or national sources. The source of the WPP boundary is included in the "BoundarySource" field of the attribute table.
