H-GAC regional aerial imagery at 1 foot resolution following Hurricane Harvey. Flight dates: 8/30/2017 - 9/8/2017. Copyright Houston-Galveston Area Council 2017. Surdex Corporation was contracted by Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) to capture ~10,322 square miles of digital aerial imagery at 12-inch pixel resolution post Hurricane Harvey. The area of interest includes the following counties surrounding the Harris County (Houston Metropolitan Area): Fort Bend, Brazoria, Galveston, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery, a portion of Grimes and a portion of Waller. Orthophotos at a map scale of 1"=200' with a 12-inch ground pixel resolution were produced for H-GAC. 4-Band orthophotography was collected using the Leica ADS100 sensor ~12,100' above ground level. RMSE of all points will be less than 2 feet. RGB color and CIR orthophoto tiles were produced using the H-GAC Lambert tile index. MrSID RGB color and CIR tiles of the 12-inch orthophotos were also produced at a compression ratio of 20:1.
